I was just reading through all the other testimonials, and I agree with them all! When I ordered from you for the first time in 1990, I didn't realize that was the first year you were in business. Every order I have placed since then has been perfectly packed and delicious beyond belief. You have been consistently spectacular.

I began ordering organic fruits and veggies from you because I was about the only adult female in my family without breast cancer. I saw what they went through and it was worth the peace of mind to know such variety of food could be organic, delicious and so fresh. I also wanted my three babies (now in college) to know how good produce could taste. My children used to be able to blow away the farmers on field trips when they were the only 3 year olds who could tell the difference between kale and spinach, thanks to you! It's hard to get good produce on the island, and so I looked for a company to send fruits and vegetables and found you through the Wall Street Journal. Today arrived a carton, which I pulled from the pile with heart pounding, was it possible? Veggies by air-freight? The fragrance peeked through from the first slitting of the tape, confirming my dreams... pulling aside strands of carefully placed packing material, there they were! Bag after bag of carefully packaged, rigorously selected and cleaned specimens of the best of the farmer's craft. The whole day munching scrumptious plants like a brontosaur and still not sampled everything... This is a miracle. Not even our best NY dirt nor our dirtiest NY farmers grow food this good, must be from CA, land of beauty and belly-laughs. Customer service is not enough to promote such standards of excellence, this sort of quality is born only of pure principles. And in each perfectly packaged parcel of fragrant delicacy there emerged that other intangible and diaphanous detail, one that has long vanished from our ornery NY landscape and lost agrarian past, I think it's called... it's been so long I almost forgot-- oh yeah, it's called LOVE!

But in all practical terms, there is no comparison: receiving this perfect treasure-trove of produce as opposed to the vicissitude of battling the road to the farmers market, sorting through bruised and belittled remnants trucked from grouchy appalachia nearby. You guys are great, I will remember this day, and look forward eagerly to the next. My shipment arrived this morning, and the fruits and veggies are just beautiful – better than I can get anywhere near my new Illinois home. As a recent resident of the San Francisco area, I was terribly spoiled by the quality of the fruits and vegetables I could find every day. I’ve had no luck getting the same quality here. But now I have an alternative!
I’m looking forward to tasting all of the delicious foods, and will be ordering from you regularly. Now all I have to do is find a way to cook things like kale and beet green that my husband will like! (And thanks for the recipe suggestions and cooking instructions)

i just wanted to say thank you for your service and your lovely food, please thank the farmers as well. i have 1 year old twin boys and i make 90 percent of their food and it is very difficult to find fresh good quality organic food where i live, the greens you sent and the nuts and seeds are wonderful!!!

I just got my order and those cherries are some of the best I've ever eaten. As an aside, I'm not alone in thinking that way. I had the bag on the stairs so I could grab some going up or down, as a snack. I have twin sister Schnauzer puppies and I started hearing plastic bags rustling when I wasn't around and finding strange hard things in corners. They had been raiding the bag of cherries. It's easier to complain, and much harder to compliment, but here's my attempt at the latter.
I received a box of groceries from you yesterday - on time, as promised, with everything I ordered AND THEN SOME. NEVER did I expect such beautifu produce. And from what we've tasted so far, way beyond what we expected. Even as the season for blood oranges is ending, we expected them to be less than fabulous. In fact, they were the BEST blood oranges we've had all season. Organic broccoli rabb. Do you hae any idea how hard I've looked for it? And it's the real thing too: the stuff I grew up with, not the hybrid nonsense they call broccoli rabb today. And the best for last: what a gorgeous "bouquet" of artichokes. I was planning to serve them for Easter - IF they last that long.
Everything else was lovely too, but that I expected. With produce, it's always hit or miss, and this was beyond a hit. It was a BULLSEYE. Don't know how you do it as well as you do, but my partner and I are glad that you do. Need I say it? We'll be back. Even here in New York City, it's hard to find truly beautiful, tasty organic food. Now we know where to go. We plan to be regulars.
